What have you been up to lately (events, races, edits, contests)?
My most recent edit is a Vital Bmx Power Hour. I also have been traveling a ton, this month I got the opportunity to travel out to contest such as Transjam, Daniel Dhers Animal House Final Jam and even got invited out to Mike Spinner’s Play BMX contest. I then stuck around in Florida for chance to scout out the ASA Big Air Triples in Miami FL. Now I’m back in Greenville, NC helping move Daniel Dhers’ skatepark to his new action sports complex in Raleigh, NC.

How did you get into riding?
My mother had me riding a bike when I was just two years old, so I always had a thing for a bicycles. When I was around 12 years old it was seeing some older homies riding trails, along with watching X-Games on the telly that really opened my eyes to the BMX and action sports world. From that moment I knew I wanted to compete like Jamie Bestwick , Dave Mirra and Daniel Dhers.

What drives you the most to keep progressing in your sport?
With no progression, BMX would not be nearly as exciting to me. It would be like watching a football game and seeing the same thing over and over again, gets kinda boring. I do my best to keep progressing and keep things fresh. Not to mention I also really enjoy seeing progression from others as well.

What do you think is the biggest accomplishment as a pro athlete so far?
Just being able to travel the world all because of a little kids bike, and being fortunate enough to make it a full time career out of all of this.

What goals do you have for the next year?
I have been doing stunt shows for the past five years with various show teams which is awesome but my real dream is to travel and compete more often. Mainly I just want to work on progressing my riding.

Why do you think it’s important for brands to support younger up and coming riders such as yourself?
It’s super important because when you are an up-and-comer with the right support from a company, it can really help you focus fully on progressing to your full penitential. In return you’re helping the company reach their full penitential as well.

Anyone who you would like to thank for helping you get to where you are today?
My friends and family, Daniel Dhers and Jamie Bestwick helped a ton. Also my sponsors Hyper Bike Co., Snafu Bmx, Pro-Tec, Fuel Clothing, Freestyle Watches, Tomahawk Shades and Woodward Camp
