Name: Jake Streichert

Age: 18

Sport: Motocross

Current Location: Club MX located in Chesterfield, SC

What have you been up to lately (events, races, edits, contests)?
Basically just been doing the different day to day training at Club MX, getting all dialled and ready for Mini Os. I’ve done a couple recent races lately including Hog Heaven, Silver and this weekend I’m heading to the second round of the Waffle House races.

How did you get into riding?
Growing up my dad had all the toys and then as I got older he eventually bought a dealership selling bikes, quads and sleds, that’s when I really started to get into it. I started to take things a little more serious in 2009 after I qualified for Loretta Lynn’s.

What drives you the most to keep progressing in your sport?
Winning, becoming a champion, proving people wrong. But most of all it’s fun!

What do you think is the biggest accomplishment as an amature athlete so far?
Winning five Canadian national titles and two American national titles.

What goals do you have for the next year?
I want to finish top three in all local races, top 5 at nationals and Loretta’s and top 5 in the MX2 pro class in Canada.

Anyone who you would like to thank for helping you get to where you are today?
My parents most of all. Through thick and through thin, they made the best of everything to help me continue with my racing. Darren and Daphne Jernigan, Mark, Kim, Zach and Brittney Osborne. Everyone at Club MX especially Brandon, Mike, and Debra. Chip Munn with Munn KTM. Roger Larsen at Troy Lee Designs. Don Ellis at Pro-action suspension. Mike at Goldnetyre. Renthal, Monster Army, Cernics, Fuel Clothing, A3 bars, MXSN nutrition, Loud Mouth, and especially Hookit. Kyle and Scott at Hookit, can’t thank those two enough for everything.
