Top NASCAR Drivers With the Highest Social Interactions Among Fans

Hookit brings to you more fast-paced data in the form of the Top Ten Social Media Interaction Rankings! June held four different popular races for the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Kyle Busch won the Pocono 400 at the beginning of June, Joey Logano won the FireKeepers Casino 400 on the 10th, Martin Truex Jr. won the Toyota/Save Mart 350 on the 23rd, and Alex Bowman won the Camping World 400 at the end of the month. It is no mistake that three of the drivers that won races in June were in the top three for the Hookit chart, though Joey Logano comes in at number 17 after falling in the charts for the last two months.

Alex Bowman

As mentioned above, Alex Bowman won the Camping World 400 race on June 30th, causing him to raise 13 spots into this month’s top ten. Bowman came in at number two this month with 190.3k interactions, spread fairly evenly between his Twitter and Instagram accounts. Bowman is a racing beacon for the younger generation at age 26 – the youngest in the top three by 8 years for Kyle Busch, and by 13 years for Martin Truex Jr.. He often engages with fans on social media who comment on his posts, driving even more engagement on said posts.

Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr.

Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. is a beacon of determination and hope for his fans. Not only is he one of the most successful African-American drivers in NASCAR, but he also revealed this year that he suffers from depression and has struggled with it for most of his racing career. He posts often, more than twice a day on average at 71 times for June, and comes off as relatable for those who follow him.

Ross Chastain

Though not within the Monster Energy series, Ross Chastain did win a race in the month of June. He took part in and placed first in, the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race, specifically the Carshield 200. The race took place on June 22nd, and he came in first with 45 points. He also won June’s M&M 200, but then had the misfortune of becoming the first to have a win revoked since 1960, because of his car failing a post-race inspection.

The Wrap Up

Races have been won, cars have been driven to the utmost, and the season’s not over yet! This will continue until November for not only the Monster Energy Cup Series, but the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series as well. Between Ross Chastain and his interesting predicament, Kyle Busch’s solid winning streak, and Alex Bowman’s social media prowess, it’s no wonder the top ten is as it was for June.
